AUSTIN – Travis Hurst’s background as an entrepreneur, consultant, small business executive, and project manager help him bring a first-rate level of service to his clients.  He grew up in San Antonio and holds a BA in Accounting from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.  He began his career as a management consultant and project manager with McKinsey & Company.  He moved to Austin in 1999 and was a founding executive of SiteStuff, one of the first commercial real estate e-markets and which continues to serve clients nationwide.  He then spent several years helping commercial real estate companies with their insurance and risk management needs.  For the past few years he was a project manager and executive with Double Line Partners, a company that helps educators get better, more timely access to data about their students with the goal of improving student outcomes.

Travis and his wife Rachel are the husband and wife team that make up the Team Hurst Realty Group.  They were real estate clients long before they became Realtors.  They know what a huge investment a home purchase is, and they remember what a relief it was to find and rely on a trusted real estate professional to help them navigate choppy waters.  Out of those experiences, they decided to become advocates for other homeowners and home buyers in Austin and the surrounding areas, and are sponsored by that same Broker who helped them through their own home purchases – John Cotten with TCP Real Estate.  They work hard to promote their clients’ interests through a combination of trust, competency, and dedication. Together, they bring a unique approach and experience to buying and selling a home.

Travis loves to play racquetball and washers, shoots skeet whenever he can (but not often enough), loves to cook, watches way too much college football, and is a terrible poker player.
