Liberty Hill is located about 30 miles northwest of Austin and just north of Leander.   It lies between the north and south forks of the San Gabriel River, providing some of the most scenic landscapes in the Hill Country.   The family-friendly community features some popular country dining including Dahlia Café and Smokey Mo’s BBQ.  The city has experienced growth in the past few years including the development of newer subdivisions including Santa Rita Ranch.  Even with new construction, preservation is still important to current residents to keep the charm and history of the town despite the growth.  Downtown Liberty Hill still has many of the original building with a few of them restored.
