Austin Real Estate Market Report June 2018
The June 2018 Central Texas Housing Report was recently released by the Austin Board of Realtors. For the first time this year, following months of strong and steady growth, single family home sales in the Austin Metro area have declined. Despite this decline in June, the Central Texas housing market is still positive and on pace for another record-breaking year as the population and home sales activity continues to grow in the Central Texas region.

- Single family homes sales ↓ 4.5% to 988 sales
- Active listings ↓ nearly 9%
- Housing inventory down 0.3 months to 2.1 months
Austin-Round Rock MSA
- Median home price up 4.9% to $326,250
- Single family home sales down 2.7% to 3,299 sales
- Housing inventory down 0.1 months to 2.9 months
Travis County
- Median home price up 1.2% to $374,500
- Single family homes sales down 2% to 1,651 sales
- Housing inventory down 0.2 months to 2.8 months
Williamson County
- Median home price down 4.7% to $300,000
- Single family homes sales down 1.7% to 1,143 sales
- Housing inventory down 0.1 months to 2.8 months
Hays County
- Median home price up 7.5% to $284,900
- Single family homes sales down 7.1% to 369 sales
- Housing inventory up 0.1 moths to 3.4 months
